Thank you so much Honea Path Presbyterian Church for the extremely generous gift of $300 to be used to benefit the students here at HPMS! Thank you to Pastor Amanda Taylor and Catherine Altman for dropping by today to deliver this blessing! We are thankful for the incredible church partnerships that we have here in our community. 🔴🐻🔵

Incredibly proud of the Cubs getting the win tonight over BMS on 8th Grade Night! This was a close game that went 5 sets before the Cubs battled back to put it away in the end. Go Cubs! 🔴🐻🔵

HPMS Weekly Update
HPMS SPORTS UPDATE: We hope you're all doing well and staying safe. In light of ongoing power outages at the school and around our community, the HPMS home volleyball game scheduled for tonight, 10/2 and the HPMS home football game scheduled for tomorrow, 10/3 have been canceled for the time being. We are uncertain if the games will be made up at a later date due to the potential for future scheduling conflicts. We hope you will join us for future opportunities to pull for our Cubs after power is restored. Thank you for your support, and GO CUBS! 🔴🐻🔵

We hope this message finds you safe and well. Thank you once again for your patience and support during this challenging time. Due to ongoing power outages and impassable roads from the storm, all schools in our district will be closed on Thursday, Oct. 3, and Friday, Oct. 4. These days will not be classified as eLearning days. With only one school currently having power, we believe these additional two days will allow for our electricity to be restored and provide our families and community the time to address their needs and support one another. Please remember that Monday, Oct. 7, is already scheduled to be a school holiday, and Tuesday, Oct. 8, is a scheduled teacher workday. Therefore, students will return to school on Wednesday, Oct. 9. Thank you for your understanding and for supporting one another. Stay safe!

Updated Schedule
In their game during the AOP Jamboree at West-Oak, the Cubs won last night against Walhalla 14-2. Malachi Bohler had a 70-yard kick return for a touchdown. The two-point conversion attempt was no good. In the next offensive possession, Malachi had a 68-yard touchdown run. A successful 2-point conversion on a 3-yard pass from JT Clements to Hunter Collins followed this. Malachi had one interception on defense as well. The defense played well keeping Walhalla out of the endzone. The Cubs play West-Oak at home next Thursday. Come out and support the Cubs! Go Cubs!

Cubs Win!
Friday, 9/6 will be Hat Day at HPMS! Students can pay $1 to homeroom teachers to receive a wristband that will allow them to wear a hat on Friday. All proceeds will help HPMS ProTeam students raise money for Disabled American Veterans. For every $250 raised, we will get 25 flags to display outside of HPMS the week of Veteran's Day. Each flag represents a veteran. All donations raise critical funds to support services for veterans in need and their families. All hats worn must be school-appropriate and non-disruptive. Additionally, if students would like to contribute to this cause but not wear a hat, that is fine as well. Donations of any amount are greatly appreciated!
